Emotion is our Inner child
When you experience any emotion the come to the surface is your inner child crying for attention, but we avoid facing our own child by distracting ourselves or suppress inner child with substance of drugs, alcohol and self abuse instead of giving your inner child attention of love. Our mind is like our child when its started to cry, the mind starts getting irritated, angry or hurt. Withdraw for a minute from activity and heal the child, talk to the mind and change the quality of thoughts. Getting condition love from our family member made us forget our joy of life; our family (were taught the same pattern of up bringing) suppressing our emotion and feelings with shaming, blaming, not accepting us as we are, controlling us instead of finding out why our inner child is acting out.
